First-look pictures from Steven Spielberg’s epic War Horse have been released ,This movie is based on Michael Morpurgo’s novel War Horse. The story describes the friendship between a boy and a horse who are separated but whose fates continue to intertwine over the course of World War I.

The story focuses on the friendship between a young boy called Albert (Jeremy Irvine) and his horse Joey. His father Ted (Peter Mullan) sells Joey to the British cavalry and he's sent off to the dying fields of World War I. Meanwhile, however, Albert can't forget his equine friend and sets off to bring him home.

The novel's War horse was published in 1982; the play blew audiences away when it opened at the National Theatre, and now the film of War Horse is coming from one Steven Spielberg. And today has seen the first images from the film emerge.

These images show Jeremy Irvine as Albert, Emily Watson as his mother, Celine Bucken as Emilie and, most importantly, Joey. The film also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Toby Kebbell and David Thewlis, with Richard Curtis and Lee Hall adapting the script from the book and play.War Horse will released on January 13, 2012 in the UK.

Warner Brothers has unveiled a first look picture of Matthew Lewis, one of the stars of the upcoming "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2," in character as Neville Longbottom with the fateful sword of Gryffindor - and he looks every bit as awesome as we imagined him.

"They were really rushed and they didn't get what they wanted," Lewis says. "So they felt they could do it in the studio with no distractions. I spoke to David Yates recently. He's very happy in the editing room, he says. He said he's really enjoying it. So he must have everything he wants."


He teases that there's a Neville scene in the final movie that wasn't in the book. "It's a new one they put in. It involves a bridge, that's all I can say. Involves a bridge and Nick Moran," he says, referencing one of the Snitchers. "It took us weeks and weeks of night shoots and stunts and all kinds of stuff. If it's all in there - I hope it's in there because it took us so bloody long to do it - and if it's all kept in there the way we did it then it's going to be amazing. That's what I'm most looking forward to."
